Man falls to death after collision on I-35 near Connally Loop

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man died Sunday morning when a collision pushed him off a raised portion of I-35 N, KSAT reports.

The man had been driving a Ford F-150 north on I-35 when he lost control in the 3800 block shortly before 7 a.m. The pickup spun around and came to a rest facing the wrong way. The driver got out of the truck and was standing behind it when a maroon Chevrolet Impala slid into the side of the Ford. The force of the collision sent the Ford into the outside sidewall and pushed its driver over the edge. He fell 21 feet to his death.

It is not clear whether the Impala’s driver was injured.

This was one of at least three fatal, weather-related collisions that took place in San Antonio this weekend.
