Man flown to San Antonio after 2-vehicle crash in Laredo

LAREDO, TX – One man was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital following a multi-vehicle collision in Laredo on Sunday.

According to LMT Online, the collision was reported around 5:25 p.m. on Bob Bullock Loop, near the I-35 interchange.

Police say the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado, 20-year-old Ismael Escamilla Jr., rear-ended an 18-wheeler and was pinned inside of his vehicle.

Escamilla was extricated and rushed to Doctors Hospital in serious condition. He was then flown to San Antonio Military Medical Center to be treated for potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver in the 18-wheeler, 37-year-old Dali Olaf Silva Flores, was not injured in the crash.
