MCALLEN, TX – Police have reported at least one injury as the result of a two-vehicle collision near the McAllen International Airport last Monday.
The incident was reported within the 1500 block of Wichita Avenue near the intersection with South Bicentennial Boulevard at about 2:55 p.m.
Investigators with the McAllen Police Department believe the 20-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2015 Honda attempted to change lanes when it was unsafe to do so and collided head-on with a 2011 GMC.
The driver of the GMC, a 57-year-old man, sustained an injury as the result of the collision. The severity of his injuries remains unclear at this time.
