Medical Examiner identifies man killed crossing the 11800 block of I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The man who died after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross I-35 on August 15 has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, Express-News reports.

Stewart Meyer, 47, was crossing the street on the 11800 block of I-35 when an SUV struck him. The driver remained at the scene following the collision. Meyers died shortly after being hit, despite the driver’s attempts to render aid.

According to police, the driver will most likely not be charged concerning the crash since Meyers was struck in an area prohibiting pedestrians.
