Mercury rear-ends Chevrolet on East Ave.

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officers with the Brownsville Police Deparment responded to a multi-vehicle collision east of downtown on Thursday, February 4th.

The accident took place at about 4:39 p.m. within the 2800 block of East Avenue near the intersection with Impala Drive.

Police believe the 59-year-old female driver of a 2000 Mercury made an improper start from a stopped position and collided with the rear driver’s side of a 2002 Chevrolet.

Neither the woman responsible for the crash nor the 45-year-old man in the Chevrolet was injured as a result of Thursday’s Brownsville car accident.
