Motorcycle collision in McAllen causes two injuries on Sunday

MCALLEN, TX — A motorcycle accident injured two people in McAllen on Sunday.

According to police the accident occurred around one in the afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Business 83 and North 23rd street. The driver of a green 1999 Ford attempted a left turn onto U.S. 83, however, he failed to yield to a motorcycle. The motorcycle carried two people and had the right of way. The Ford proceeded to collide with the motorcycle at a speed limit of 30mph. Police report that weather was clear at the time of the accident.

Both riders on the motorcycle reported injuries from the accident. Their conditions are unknown at this time. Police found the driver of the Ford to be at fault for the accident.
