MERCEDES, TX – Two people were hospitalized following a major collision involving a suspected DWI accident on U.S. Business 83 Monday afternoon.
According to KRGV, the two-vehicle crash occurred along the freeway near Floodway Bridge sometime before 2 p.m.
Police say the driver responsible for the incidnet has been charged with intoxication assault. No word on the identities or conditions of those involved has been released at this time.
