Multiple injuries reported in suspected Brownsville DWI crash

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Two people were reportedly injured as the result of a suspected DWI collision on Ruben M. Torres Boulevard early Sunday morning.

The incident was reported shortly after midnight along Ruben M. Torres Blvd. west of the I-69E on-ramp.

Investigators with the Brownsville Police Department believe the crash was caused by the 34-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2017 Jaguar. The man was traveling at a high rate of speed while allegedly under the influence of drunks and alcohol when he collided with the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet.

Both the driver responsible and the 39-year-old woman in the Chevrolet suffered non-incapacitating injuries in the crash.

No information with regard to the identities of those involved is mentioned in the crash.
