Off-duty constable hit by suspected drunk driver

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An off-duty constable was involved in a collision with a suspected drunk driver late last night, KENS 5 reports.

The constable was blocking access to a construction site at the 410 Access Road at Highway 151 when the incident occurred. A car, driven by woman in her 20s, crashed through road cones and into the constable’s personal vehicle. The woman attempted to flee, but could not navigate the scattered construction equipment.

Police administered a field sobriety test and arrested the woman on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Neither the constable nor the woman was injured in the collision. A male passenger was also unharmed.
