INGLESIDE, TX – An oil tanker struck a pier after losing power while traveling through the Port of Corpus Christi Monday afternoon.

According to KRIS, the incident occurred at the MODA Midstream Ingleside Energy Center at about 1 p.m.

Officials with the US Coast Guard say the tanker lost power prior to striking the pier but did not leak any oil or fuel as a result.
