One injured in 18-wheeler crash on I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT12, one person has been hospitalized due to a crash between a car and an 18-wheeler on I-35.

The accident took place around 5 a.m. this morning in the southbound lanes of the highway near Schwab Road. The crash happened when a sedan hit construction barrels, spun around, and collided head-on with a semi-truck.

The driver of the car has been hospitalized and their condition is not currently known.

The crash caused a fuel spill that closed the highway, however, the roadway has since reopened.
