Overnight trucking accident causes delays on Loop 1604

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A jackknifed 18-wheeler caused significant delays for commuters on Loop 1604 in San Antonio Wednesday morning.

According to KENS, the accident occurred at about 2:45 a.m. near the exit to Green Mountain Road when the truck skidded on the wet road conditions and jackknifed into a median. A second vehicle came along a short time later collided with the wreckage.

Neither the truck driver nor the driver in the other vehicle was injured as a result of the crash. Police believe the road conditions are to blame for the incident.

Loop 1604 was shut down until 11 a.m. causing major delays for rush-hour commuters in San Antonio.
