Pedestrian dies following accident at Bryan Rd and Mile 7 Rd

MISSION, TX – According to KRGV, a pedestrian died following a traffic accident at Bryan Rd and Mile 7 Rd Saturday.

Alejandro Marquez, 48, attempted to stop a GMC Sierra occupied by five people from leaving his residence by throwing himself onto the vehicle. Marquez fell off the truck and the GMC ran over his left foot.

Marquez then stood up and lost his balance before falling and hitting his head at around 7:24 p.m.

The driver stopped and rendered aid until first responders arrived at the scene of the accident. They transported Marquez to an area hospital, where he later died.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
