EDINBURG, TX – A female pedestrian was fatally struck while walking on a rural road in northeast Edinburg on Monday morning.
According to KURV, the incident occurred at about 1 a.m. on the northbound side of Alamo Road, near the intersection with Davis Road.
Police say the woman stepped out into traffic and was struck by a northbound Ford Explorer. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the fatal Edinburg crash was unhurt. No charges have been filed against that individual at this time.
