SAN ANTONIO, TX – An unidentified man was struck and killed while walking along a busy freeway in southeast San Antonio last week.
The May 14th crash occurred at about 10:15 p.m. as the victim was walking west within the 8800 block of I-410 near McCreless Meadows.
Witnesses told police the man was wearing dark clothing and walking west in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when he was struck by a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe.
When the driver of the Tahoe stopped to assist the man, a 1997 Ford F-150 hit him a second time. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Both drivers remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the investigation. No charges are pending at this time.
