Person injured following crash involving semi-truck on WB I-10 and UTSA Blvd

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to Fox San Antonio, a person was hospitalized following an accident involving an SUV and a semi-truck at westbound I-10 and UTSA Blvd Monday.

The incident occurred when a semi-truck collided with a semi-truck so hard it lifted the SUV on top of a concrete divider.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the accident around 2 a.m. They used the Jaws of Life to rescue the two people pinned between the SUV and the concrete divider. One of the victims was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The other person was treated at the scene for mild injuries and then released.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
