SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver was ejected from his vehicle when he crashed his pickup truck on FM 1604 near US 90 early Saturday morning local news reports.
Law enforcement officials arrived shortly after the 4 a.m. accident to find the truck badly damaged and the man lying in the road, according to one news source.
The driver was apparently speeding and under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his truck into a wall and rolled it more than once.
The driver was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. He was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
Authorities also said that alcohol appeared to play a role in the accident.
The southbound lanes of 1604 were closed Saturday morning while the accident was investigated.
