Police detain driver after crashing into gas line

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver has been detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he crashed his car into a natural gas line at an apartment complex, reports KSAT.

The accident took place last night at 1 a.m. when the driver crashed at the Windbury Apartments on Gardendale on the Northwest Side.

Police discovered damage to the gas line when they arrived at the crash site. CPS Energy came to the site and shut down the line, preventing the need to evacuate the area.
