Police respond to rear-end collision in east McAllen

MCALLEN, TX – A woman was injured as the result of a rear-end collision along US Business Route 83 on Saturday, February 6th.

The accident took place shortly before 4 p.m. on US Business Route 83 at the intersection with South 2nd Street.

Responding officers say the driver of a 2011 Ford, a 33-year-old man, was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided with the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet.

The man responsible for the crash was unhurt. However, the 58-year-old woman in the Chevrolet sustained unknown injuries.
