Police respond to rear-end crash on 2nd St.

MCALLEN, TX – Police in McAllen responded to a multi-vehicle collision near downtown early last Wednesday morning.

The two-vehicle south McAllen car crash took place shortly after 7 a.m. within the 2600 block of South 2nd Street near the intersection with Byron Nelson Avenue.

Investigators believe the 60-year-old male driver of a white Chevrolet was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear of a 2016 Dodge.

No injures were reported as a direct result of the crash.
