Rear-end collision injures 2 in north Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – At least two people were injured as the result of a chain-reaction rear-end crash early last Tuesday morning.

The collision took place shortly before 8 a.m. along Highway 77 Frontage Road near the I-169 overpass.

Police say the 24-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2008 BMW was speeding when he collided with the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet, pushing it into the rear of a 2016 Buick.

Both drivers in the Buick and Chevrolet, ages 37 and 27, were injured as a result of Tuesday’s Brownsville car accident. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
