Rear-end collision reported near I-69E

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officers with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision near I-69E last Friday morning.

The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ruben M. Torres Boulevard and the I-69E frontage road.

Investigators say the 43-year-old female driver of a 2012 Hyundai was traveling at a high rate of speed when she came upon stopped or slowed traffic and collided with the rear of a 2016 Kia.

Neither the driver responsible nor the 30-year-old woman in the Kia was seriously injured as a result of the crash.
