Rush-hour vehicle fire causes delays on I-10

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio shut down at least one lane along I-10 following a vehicle fire Friday evening.

According to Total Traffic San Antonio, the accident was reported at about 4:15 p.m. within the westbound lanes of I-10 near the exit to Callaghan Road.

It is unclear if any injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.

Commuters have been advised to avoid this portion of I-10 as delays are likely while crews work to extinguish the blaze and clear the wreckage from the roadway.
