SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man and woman from San Antonio along with their 2-month-old son were seriously injured after being struck by a suspect attempting to flee police in a stolen pickup truck Tuesday.
According to Officer.com, deputies with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office spotted a reportedly stolen Ford pickup truck in Marian and began pursuing the driver. The chase lasted several miles until the driver, who has been identified as 48-year-old David Sauceda collided with several vehicles on Loop 1604 near I-10.
One of the vehicles involved in the collision was occupied by Tom and Priscilla Garcia, both 32-years-old along with their son Maximiliano. All three victims were rushed to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the wreck. Information regarding any other injuries sustained as a result of Sauceda’s actions is not mentioned in the report.
Sauceda was booked into the Guadalupe County Jail on a number of charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest. His bail has been set at $162,000
