SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio arrested the man they believe to be responsible for a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a 15-year-old girl on Thursday, February 18th.
According to KSAT, the incident occurred at about 8 p.m. within the 6700 block of Medina Base Road near Moon Valley.
Investigators say the teenage girl was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by an oncoming 2011 Honda Pilot. The driver, 38-year-old Miguel Barbosa, fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Witnesses stopped to render aid to the girl. However, she was pronounced dead upon the authorities’ arrival.
Police located the at-fault vehicle parked in a driveway not far from the scene of the crash and took Barbosa into custody.
