San Antonio teens identified in Mathis collision that killed 6 people

MATHIS, TX – Officials with the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office have released the identities of two San Antonio teens killed in a major collision last Saturday.

According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. along Highway 37 when a wrong-way driver collided head-on with a van.

All four occupants in the wrong-way driver’s vehicle died as a result of the collision. Two people in the van, 19-year-old Trent Ryan Edge and 18-year-old Helena Paige-Marie Dumas, of San Antonio, also died in the crash.

An investigation into the collision remains underway as of Friday afternoon.
