San Antonio woman arrested after stealing ambulance

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police arrested a woman Tuesday after she stole an ambulance and crashed it into a ditch near Ashby Place and Lewis Street, KSAT reports.

Authorities say that 28-year-old Ashley Moreno stole the ambulance shortly before noon, as it was parked outside the emergency room of Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. She abandoned the ambulance and was captured by fire department personnel in the 500 block of W. Russell Place.

No one was injured, although the ambulance was damaged. Authorities are investigating the incident.
