San Antonio woman killed in pedestrian crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio woman who was struck by an SUV Wednesday evening has died from her injuries.

According to KSAT, 49-year-old Thanalakshmi Subramaniam was attempting to cross at the 6400 block of Blanco Road at about 9 p.m. when she was struck by a Lincoln MKX SUV.

Subramaniam was transported to University Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries several hours later.

Investigators believe Subramaniam was attempting to cross outside of the designated crosswalk when she was struck. The driver reminded at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are expected to be filed against that individual at this time.
