San Benito man injured following two-vehicle collision on SH-48

BROWNSVILLE, TX – One man was reportedly injured as the result of a two-vehicle crash along State Highway 48 last Tuesday morning.

The collision was reported at about 9:01 a.m. along SH-48 near the Ruben M. Torres Boulevard overpass.

Investigators with the Brownsville Police Department believe the 60-year-old male driver of a 2020 Ford was speeding when he collided with the front driver’s side of a 2009 Dodge.

The driver responsible sustained injuries as a result of the collision. However, information regarding his updated condition or identity has not yet been released at this time.
