Several injuries reported following collision on Sam Houston Blvd.

MCALLEN, TX – Three people were reportedly injured as the result of a two-vehicle collision along Sam Houston Boulevard Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. within the 1100 block of Sam Houston Blvd. near the intersection with Palm Drive.

Police believe the 43-year-old male driver of a 2001 Nissan was speeding when he failed to pay attention to the roadway and collided with a 2011 Ford. Both the driver of the Nissan and his 42-year-old male passenger were injured in the crash along with the 37-year-old female driver of the Ford. The extent of their injuries remains unclear at this time.
