Several injuries reported following Southwest Side trucking accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX –  Emergency crews in San Antonio responded to a collision involving two 18-wheelers southwest of Downtown early Monday evening.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, the two trucks collided within the northbound lanes of I-35 at about 5 p.m.

A spokesperson with the San Antonio Fire Department confirmed three people were transported to the hospital following the accident. Two of the victims sustained potentially life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Details regarding the cause of the crash remain under investigation. Rush-hour commuters faced delays within the 10000 block of I-35 for several hours following the accident.
