Several injuries reported in north Brownsville car accident

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Three people sustained injuries resulting from a two-vehicle collision in Brownsville early Monday morning.

The accident took place shortly before 7:30 a.m. within the 2300 block of Old Port Isabel Road near the intersection with Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Responding officers believe the 73-year-old male driver of a 2009 Chrysler failed to yield the right of way to a 2019 Honda, causing the two vehicles to collide.

Both the man responsible for the crash along with his 60-year-old female passenger sustained injuries in the crash. The 57-year-old woman in the Honda also sustained unknown injuries.
