Single-vehicle collision reported on Paredes Island Rd.

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Investigators with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash on Paredes Island Road early Saturday morning.

The accident was reported just after 4 a.m. on Paredes Island Rd. near the intersection with Emerald Valley Boulevard and the Brownsville Events Center.

Officers at the scene believe the 23-year-old man driving a 2015 Chevrolet made an unsafe turn and collided with a fixed object. Neither the driver nor his 23-year-old female passenger was injured in the crash.

Officials do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the incident.
