Single-vehicle collision reported on US-181

PORTLAND, TX – One person was reportedly injured following a single-vehicle crash north of Corpus Christi Saturday evening.

The crash happened along US-181 near the intersection with Northshore Boulevard shortly after 4:00 p.m. Police believe the 26-year-old male driver of a 2015 Chevrolet was fatigued or fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the vehicle to collide with an unspecified fixed object.

The driver suffered non-incapacitating injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
