Suspect arrested in connection to fatal San Antonio hit-and-run

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officials with the San Antonio arrested a suspect Monday in connection to a fatal early November hit-run-case thanks to a tip.

According to CHRON, the accident occurred on November 5th when 75-year-old Jung Mu Kim was attempting to cross the street within the 6100 block of Pecan Valley Drive in the designated crosswalk.

Officials believe 50-year-old Jerome Armstong struck Kim with his 1997 GMC Sierra. He got out, along with two other drivers, to check on the man. However, he got back in his vehicle a short time later and fled.

Armstrong has been charged with failure to stop and render aid resulting in death. He was released from jail after posting his bond in the amount of $60,000.
