SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio have a 50-year-old male suspect in custody who may be responsible for a Sunday evening crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian northwest of downtown.
According to My San Antonio, the accident occurred at about 5 p.m. within the 13600 block of Nacogdoches Road.
Police say the pedestrian was crossing within the designated crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford Econoline which had run the red light.
The unidentified victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver, who has been identified as Sergio Vasquez, was arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter.
