SUV driver injures themselves after striking ambulance near South Side

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The driver of an SUV collided with an ambulance at Staples St and Holly Rd Saturday, KRIS-TV reports.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. The driver was cited for failure to control their speed and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle after they were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident.

Authorities have not released the name of the driver at this time.
