Teen injured in multi-vehicle crash on Betty Jean Dr. in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At least one person was hurt as the result of a rear-end collision near SH-358 last weekend.

The accident occurred on May 15th at about 2:35 p.m. within the 5600 block of Betty Jean Drive, just north of Gardendale Park.

Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department said the 23-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2015 Hyundai was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided with the rear of a 2015 Jeep.

Both drivers involved in the crash were uninjured along with a 1-year-old child in the Jeep. A 17-year-old female passenger in the Jeep suffered unknown injuries in the wreck.
