Teen killed in collision with train in San Patricio

SAN PATRICIO, TX- A 16-year-old boy was killed in a train-pedestrian accident on Thursday in San Patricio.

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM in the morning. The teenager was reportedly sleeping in the middle of the train tracks at US Highway 77B and got up when he heard the train’s whistle. He was walking toward the southbound train when he was struck.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
