Uninsured driver causes car wreck

MISSION, TX – On Friday afternoon, an uninsured driver crashed into another car while leaving a private driveway.

The 32-year-old woman in a white 2012 Ford exited a private drive on Thornwood Drive near North Conway Avenue at 4:03 p.m. on May 8. According to the Mission Police Department, the Ford did not yield to oncoming traffic, and the driver hit a black 2015 GMC.

The GMC sustained minimal damage to the front bumper from the accident. The Ford also sustained minimal damage to the front-left side of the car. The cars did not require a tow truck to remove them from the scene after the crash.

The police did not report any injuries in this accident.

Officers on the scene determined the Ford was at fault for the accident because the driver did not yield while leaving the driveway. The police also charged the 32-year-old woman for driving without car insurance.
