TAFT, TX – According to KRIS-TV, officials have released additional information in connection to the death of a two-year-old girl that was run over Saturday.
The driver was in the driveway outside the victim’s home when they drove forward and collided with the victim, causing her to fall over. The driver then ran over the girl as they pulled out of the driveway and into the street.
First responders transported the toddler to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities described the incident as “…a true accident in every sense of the word” and will not be filing charges against the driver.
It is unclear exactly where the accident happened.
