SAN ANTONIO, TX – After a rollover crash involving an 18-wheeler on Friday, April 10, 2020, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has decided to begin improvements to Finesilver Curve as early as April 14. Finesilver Curve, an exit ramp to Interstate 10 West from Interstate 35 North, is a notoriously dangerous road in the San Antonio area.
According to News 4 San Antonio, there is at least one accident each month on Finesilver Curve, and most of these accidents involve 18-wheeler rollovers. The TxDOT plans to improve signage on the curve, repaint pavement markings, and add LED chevrons along the curve, to reduce the likelihood of an accident.
