Update: McAllen police investigate crash that killed 2

MCALLEN, TX – McAllen police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that killed a man and a child last week, KRGV reports.

This is an update to our earlier post.

A silver van and a blue car collided at the intersection of Bus. 83 and 2nd Street at about 1:40 a.m. on March 30. While the exact circumstances of the collision are unclear, we know that the driver of the car—later identified as Christian Seferino Trejo, 27—was killed, as was a 12-year-old child in the van.

Four other occupants of the van were hospitalized, one in critical condition. A passenger in the car was also critically injured.

We will continue to report on this story as police investigations progress.
