UPDATE: Woman Involved in Fatal Drunk Driving Accident Free on Bond

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Rosalinda Olalde was released on bond on April 13, 2020, while she appeals a six-year prison sentence for a fatal drunk driving accident. In August of 2018, Olalde lost control of her vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol. She crashed into a sedan and killed the driver, Mario Velazquez-Palau, and seriously injured four passengers in the vehicle.

According to KSAT, Olalde will remain out of prison on bond during the appeals process. Valazquez’s family expressed their frustration over this appeal because they believe Olalde is avoiding responsibility for her actions.
