Vehicle erupts in flames in fatal crash on I-37

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — In the early morning around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle traveling on  I-37 North/SH 358 South flyover hit a guardrail causing the vehicle to flip and burst into flames.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. According to 3 News on KIIITV, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working on determining the cause of this single-vehicle incident. We’ll provide more updates on this incident as details become available.
