Victim identified in fatal South Side collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio have released the identity of the man killed in a South Side collision last Wednesday morning.

According to My San Antonio, 44-year-old Angel Baltazar was traveling at a high rate of speed within the 10600 block of U.S. Route 281 when he collided with the rear axle of an 18-wheeler.

Firefighters worked to extract Baltazar and transport him to a local hospital. He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
