[Music] the general rule in Texas you have you have two years but there's also notice requirements that are important for instance some claims like a claim against a governmental entity whether it's a federal or state or local entity the government has to give you permission to sue them you're not really allowed to sue the government they've got immunity but in certain situations they'll give you permission if you follow certain rules and one of the rules is you've got to give them notice than 180 days of the injury and if you don't give them a full notice and tell them what all they did wrong and what all your damages are in that first 180 days and you're going to be barred from suing them wait [Music]
