Distracted driver crashes on Nacogdoches Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver in a Nissan was distracted while on the road and collided with an uninsured driver on Monday evening.

A 43-year-old woman was driving her gray 2016 Nissan on Nacogdoches Road near Dreamwood Drive at 4:43 p.m. May 11. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the woman was distracted by something which caused her to crash into a 44-year-old man in a gray 2013 Chevrolet. The police did not state what caused the woman to become distracted.

The front right corner of the Nissan crashed into the Chevrolet’s back right corner. The collision caused moderate damage to both of the vehicles. The police officer called for a tow-truck to remove both vehicles from the scene after the incident.

Neither driver was injured in the accident, and there were no passengers in the vehicles.

The police determined the Nissan was at fault in the accident. However, the Chevrolet’s driver was unable to provide proof of car insurance, and he was given a citation.
