Woman hospitalized following crash with off-duty officer

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT12, a woman has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries due to a crash with an off-duty police officer. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on June 20th, near the intersection of Blanco Road and Calico Landing.

The UTSA police officer was traveling on Blanco Road when a woman attempting to turn on to the road from Calico Landing pulled out. The officer’s vehicle then struck the woman’s car on the driver’s side door.

Police say that the driver had the right of way during the accident.

The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The officer was hospitalized with minor injuries.
