Truck crashes and spills gravel on Loop 1604

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, a truck crash on Loop 1604 at Shaenfield Road spilled gravel across the roadway.

The accident took place around 1 a.m. this morning when the truck’s 28-year-old driver was cut off by a second vehicle, lost control, and hit the median.

The truck caught on fire and rolled over. The driver escaped the vehicle with the help of a bystander but suffered third-degree burns. He was airlifted with life-threatening injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The truck was brought upright by 6 a.m. but the road still remained closed.
